Washington, DC – U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) issued the following statement today honoring Rhode Island Public Defender John Hardiman, who passed away yesterday:
“Today my thoughts and prayers are with the family of John Hardiman, who dedicated his life to upholding the law and ensuring fair access to our system of justice for all Rhode Islanders,” said Whitehouse, a former U.S. Attorney and Attorney General for Rhode Island. “I’m grateful that I got to know and work with John during his long career.”
